i am a freelance artist born and raised in boulder, colorado. i consider myself an artist at 360 degrees; i am restless and never content to confine myself to one particular medium. at an early age music became my first source of inspiration and an outlet for artistic expression. my father is a professional photographer and avid painter, and he introduced to me the concepts of aesthetics, color, lighting and form in the visual arts. in highschool i was first introduced to digital arts and immediately i fell in love with 3d design and graphics. at the university of colorado i studied film, developed a passion for italian neo-realism and french new wave, and began shooting 16mm with my bolex.
upon graduating from college i decided to broaden my horizons. i enrolled at the florence design accademy in florence, italy, a city where classical and renaissance art crash head-on with the modern world of design, advertisement and fashion. while in italy i also attended nemo academia delle arti digitali, honing my knowledge of 3d modeling, rigging and animation as well as traditional drawing and concept design. living and traveling abroad afforded me the opportunity to meet and collaborate with many talented artists in fields ranging from sculpting to architecture and industrial design.
